The laws

There are some pretty dumb laws around. The reason they are in place is unknown in most cases, but however they are still in effect, and people could be charged under the law. Some laws are outdated, but however all of these laws are apparently still on the books.

1. In Thailand, if you leave your house without underwear, you might find yourself facing a fine.

2. If you step on any currency of Thailand, expect a jail sentence and a beating.

3. In Finland, cab drivers are required to pay loyalties for music played in their cabs, even if it’s on the radio.

4. In 2003, electronic games of any kind became illegal in Greece.

5. In France taking pictures of police or police vehicles is illegal.

6. In South Africa, you need a license to buy a TV. A similar law exists in Norway.

7. Under 18 and wearing a bathing suit? Be at least 12 inches away from the next person, or face a criminal charge in South Africa.

8. You need a license to drive a car in Israel, but you also need one to ride a bike!

9. In Israel you are not allowed to raise a pig.

10. In Australia if you are convicted and sentenced to “life”, you will be out in 25 years.

11. In most of the US, you have to be 21 to possess alcohol, but only 18 to possess a handgun.

12. In Canada, anyone can buy cigarettes. However it’s illegal to sell them to people under 18 or 19 years of age (depending on region). Australia has similar rules.

13. Japan has no age of consent.

14. In Germany running out of gas on the autobahn will cost you a pretty penny.

15. Practice witchcraft in Ireland gets you one year in the country club.

16. In the UK, members or parliament are not allowed to wear armor.

17. In Montanta, USA, a group of 7 or more natives are considered an attacking force and it is legal to shoot them on sight.

18. In South Korea, officers are required to report all bribes given to them by motorists.

19. If someone is under your car in Denmark and you start it up, the police might come knocking at your door.

20. In Italy it is illegal to wear a skirt if you are a man.
